The one I would cast on first would be “Evergreen” it’s SO pretty and I just love unusual scarves!
I’d love to win this book!!!
I absolutely love all of them but I love the Bronte first best and the vamp second best. such a lovely book.
Some beautiful knits there but my pick is Mantilla because it’s like a fairy’s technicolour dream. xx
If I have to pick only one, I’d pick arabesque. It just looks like me. Like something I would make and wear –and it’s even in the right color! My second choice would be mantilla, though in a different color. I also love grace, though I think I’d have to make it a little wider…err..longer? Anyway, big enough to fit my large upper arms!
I have to agree about Ceilidh and also Bronte. The colours are lovely.
How could I go past Madame Alfred? It winked at me! I love the colour contrasts and the drape.
I love the ceilidh shawlette for two reasons: it is unique in form and combines the turleneck with an arm cover for crisp spring and fall days; it is a heritage call for me having Scottish roots which gravitate to the tartan.
Miss Garricks!! I love colourwork, and that cowl is so cute!!
Oh my Goddess, it’s so beautiful : Ceididh, Miss Garrick, Frost, I don’t know wherer to look…..
I’m french but the father of my grand Father comes from Highlands…so perhaps Alba is in me…
I’m sure of that.
It’s very generous from to give us the opportunity to discover this marvellous creations
Kardamili, the colours are just gorgeous, what a marvellous giveaway!
Thank you so much! My favourite is the harlequin – so colorful and so cozy looking, so REAL and whizzily interwoven. By the way: I love your pretzel-cape (woodland hoodlet…), I wore it every chilly day!
Love,
Hilde
The first one I would knit would be harlequin because I just love entrelac. But that would only be a start since I just adore Madame Alfred, miss garricks and purple patch to name but a few. That’s done it now, I’m just going to have to buy the book if I don’t win one.
What a delish book! My favorites are grace cos it looks like it would sit so prettily and then enigma for its sheer elegance 🙂
I would love to win this book. I would have to knit the entrelac shawlette, it is stunning!! I can just imagine that in my favorite Noro color way. 🙂
II love Fizz… it’s so cute…
Pick me !!!
Love Love Love—-the book !
I will do “Miss Garricks”, can´t explain—-
just fell for it—–
I would knit the fizz one, because it would go perfect with my sisters wedding gown! I have already been planning to give her “something blue” knit by me, and this pattern would just be perfect!
Ceilidh, most definately; I’d have to knit it for the challenge!
I think Treasure is wonderful since I love ruffles and entrelac. It’s lovely!
Twine is divine! I find the subtle colors and twists calming. Very Om. Then again there is frost and the ever lovely Miss. Garricks…choices choices!
I love the model MANTILLA. This model is a joyful and color reminds me of a beautiful orange full of vitamins!
Congratulations on your first Blog Tour!
The first piece that caught my eye in the gallery was Garland, but that was before I saw Ceilidh! It’s absolutely amazing.
I think I will go for vamp!
It’s so hard to choose but I think my first pick would be Miss Garricks – I love it!
I absolutely LOVE Vamp! It looks so soft and warm and those colours are delicious!
It’s very hard to choose but the one that caught my eye the quickest is “fizz” – she’s so cute with a nice mix of vintage and fairy tale style.
Frost is the one I’d start with – great for next winter!
Evergreen for me. Today is the Pagan festival of Ostara, and Evergreen makes me think of a garland of new spring leaves worn by a goddess …
I love Evergreen! It’s versatile yet must be quite a challenge to knit. I can imagine it in silvery-blue color combination.
Ceilidh is my favourite. I love the tartan ans the sweet colours of it. I also like the Madame alfred shawl which I would do in less contrast colours
thank you for this giveaway!
Arabesque for me, stunningly elegant!
I’ve got my fingers crossed now!!
Thanks
Fleur xx
It’s hard to choose one, but the knitter in me is drawn to the Harlequin. It offers a chance to try a new technique in a small, easy to complete project. … oh and I love to play with color!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful book!
Wendy
I love the pretty fairisle of Miss Garricks!!! 🙂
Ohhhhh, you are right, they all are intriguing, But, Madame Alfred is the one!
Oh, I love this little book! Ever since I laid eyes on the front model Harlequin I wanted to knit it! Totally agree with you on Ceilidh though, the tartan is awesome. Thanks for this chance to win the book. ❤
Although I also Love plaid, my favorite is Miss Kitty. Really love the vintage vibe!
Loved the book right away from the cover, so the harlequin would be the first. 🙂
The most adorable pattern in a fun mixture of colors that is so my face.
Thank you for this chance.
I like Penumbra. Just for a start. Thanks!
All of Jean’s designs were amazing but “Frost” just screamed out to me and my Norwegian heritage, from the Intarsia snowflake designs right down to the pewter buttons.
Such a lovely idea to do the give-away. Thank you!
what a good idea the blog tour is,,,has it been done before? Lots of super links.
Harlequin is what first caught my eye, but Twine has my name all over it. I love the textures and the twist.
Hi, I have to admit I like them all! I would probably make Miss Garrick’s first!
my fav. is Frost . I am a sucker for anything nordic looking !
Kardamili has my vote! The colors and the finishing edge caught my eye.
I’ve kind of taken a shine to twine!
how could i choose! i’d have to say my three favorites are madame alfred for the trim, ceilidh for the asymmetrical design and of course the plaid, and bronte for both the lovely lace and my love for the bronte sisters. ❤
Tough to choose between frost and ceilidh, but ceilidh may be my favorite.
What could be better than plaid? It can be both subdued and a party depending on
colors.
Many wonderful patterns, but my eyes lead to Purple PAtches. I can jsut see my little sis in this one. It’s so unique. It’s like a mini sweater and a shrug and a shawlette all in one~
Lovely designs, but it has to be Bronte! my favourite sisters/authors and who knows maybe Mr Rochester will turn up or Heathcliffe. Life would never be boring. Love the romantic vintage look. Do you think Cathy or Jane Eyre would look good in it!! Takes me straight to the wild Yorkshire moors and in the wuthering winds you would definitely need this shawlette! Byeeeeeeeeee!
As a Ginger, I am drawn to Fall colors — rusts, golds, browns — the seasonal changing of tne guard. And yet…in the winter barren landscape, I am thankful for the Evergreens. So THAT is the one I want to knit!
I have a perfect skein of yarn for “Grace”, thank you.
welcome home, sweets!
yay! a fun giveaway! i think my favorite is miss garricks… tho’ the fairisle is a little scary.
love you!
Evergreen. Little lacy leaves will get me every time. Thanks for all the inspiration and the for the chance to win this book. Welcome home!
In Jean Moss’ new book there are several that caught my eye, ya know first glance. the one that jumped off the page was Bess. It looks like a French piece of lingerie. ( cannot find how to spell the correct word) I have always wanted to wear one, but does not seem to fit, so now I can at least wear one around my neck. How fab that will be. Thanks for your website and truly unique items
Have a knitty kind of day!
Bets
I really like miss Garrick’s, mantilla and madame Alfred. You are sure right when you say there is at least one. Haha.
Evergreen would be my first choice to knit. Reminds me of a walk in the woods. I have been drooling over this book and put it on my b-day wish list. So many pretties to make!
Bronte is my favorite. I’ll be sure to start that one as soon as I get the book.
I’ve been admiring Green at Heart, but today I’m thinking that Enigma might be calling to me even louder – I love how the airy layers work together!
I think they all look like a “Party” my first choice would be Harliquin and then maybe Kitty!!! Grrr
I love the Fizz shawlette!
Twine is one of my favorites from her collection! It is perfect with a lovely coat or jeans and sweater! what more can you ask for!!!???
Mantilla is my favorite and I wish wish wish I had the talent to knit it up for my grandmother!! Someday!
I would love to make the bess shawl because it reminds me of a corset!!
So hard to choose but I’ve never done any colour work and really must try so think I will throw myself in the deep end with Miss Garricks! Thank you for bringing these to my attention TOK! xx
I love Ceilidh. The tartan is so lovely. Someday I’ll knit it and go out into the woods at midnight and dance…
J’adore the vintage shawlette “Kitty”: http://www.jeanmoss.com/images/MissKittyHR.jpg
The faded rose detail is beautiful and the color palette is simply perfect! I would knit it exactly as shown. I also love Green at Heart and I have the perfect outfit for Ceilidh! ❤ Thanks for the opportunity to enter and congrats on your recent move!
Enigma and Kitty are my favorite. Two very different designs…but very fun! Thanks for the opportunity! Hope you are enjoying the mountains!
I looove Enigma. It looks so ethereal! But Kitty and Ceiliidh are some of my favourites too ❤
This is a lovely book! I usually crochet shawls, but have been looking for a knit challenge. The shawls in this book are irresistible! Thanks for adding that lovely list of knit ladies too.
My favourite is Enigma because it looks so spring-like and it’s finally spring here. Also, I like to remain an Enigma…particularly to my children
i really like the evergreen. lots of love from north Norway, Heidi
Oh! How lovely! I adore ceilidh first and formost and polperro for a dressier look ! What a wonderful giveaway!
Twine is right up my alley! Thanks for the contest!
definitely ceilidh! i love the plaid work in this one, and the colors it’s shown are perfect for this pattern. so natural and beautiful. and who doesn’t love a good party?!!!
I too love a good party, so Ceilidh it is for me, it’s already in my ravelry queue, woo hoo! I can see myself doing a celtic jig wearing it!
Such pretty designs! You’re right, it was hard to choose but I like Enigma!
Oh boy. This is a very difficult choice. I loved Fizz and Arabesque and … and….. OK. OK. I pick Enigma !!!! I love it’s drape and mystery. I love the colorway possibilities. I think it is awesome for every age of woman. My daughter would look awesome in it. And I want one too. YOW. I love the colors that Ms. Moss selected too. What color.
Maureen
It’s so hard to choose but my eye kept going straight to Ceilidh.
I had so much fun on the blog tour. There are so many talented knitters and seeing what each of these had to offer was amazing. My favorite one of the shawlettes is madame alfred. The colors are so beautiful and very eye catching. Thank you for doing this it was fun.
Kim
I like Kardamili – love the colours and the design.
Ohhh, difficult choice. I really like Fizz, Miss Kitty, and Evergreen, and Vamp looks incredibly soft and elegant. Grace would look beautiful on someone with a longer neck than mine. But if I had to choose just one to knit, it would be Miss Garricks. I love the combination of the colors, the pattern, and the overall soft scrunchability.
Fav shawl: Garland.
Why? How fabulous will that look with a black turtleneck. Move over Anna Wintour.
Miss Garricks caught my eye, but Ceilidh captured my heart. I love plaid!
Hmmm, it’s hard for me to choose between Vamp and Polperro as they both have just that little something special! If I win, I think I’ll have to knit both! Thanks for the giveaway.
I love Mantilla. It reminds me of choosing a lacy mantilla for Mass when I was a child and it also makes me think of Spain, my favourite country. I would make it in pale lilac or silver.
It was very difficult to choose just one pattern they are all lovely. Bronte is gorgeous, the colours are soothing and I can see myself wearing the shawl.
My two favorites are Vamp and Polperro, they’d look great on my daughter. I especially love all the ruffles on Vamp!
I think I like Vamp because of the organic swirly nature of it. I’ve not knit something like it, and it is pretty.
Kardamili is my very favest one – though it is very hard to choose just one – I have my eye on just about every single pattern, they are all so great. Yay, two in a row 🙂 🙂
I love the Fizz shawlette because it is a classic !
Even though everyone and their owl has either knit one of been talking about it, I’d have to say I’d knit Mantilla first out of all of them. The lace work is gorgeous and it seems like such a versatile piece and I just have to have one in my wardrobe.
Grace is the one I would knit first just something on your neck to warm one self up is some times all one needs for those chilly spring days and grace is so beautiful frilly and femine but not fussy .
Wow…they are all so pretty! So hard to choose one, but I’d pick Miss Garricks. I get excited about doing a bit of color work, and it looks like it would be cozy, too…so sweet!
There were 3 I really liked but Fizz would be my first. I love the femininity of it.
Twine for sure — love the texture and the opportunity to use subtle colors!
Shut the front door! Miss garricks is too cute!
And congrats on your blog tour! That’s wonderful:)
I love Twine, but there are lots of lovely patterns in this book. Thanks for hosting the giveaway!
Congratulations on being part of the blog tour! That is very exciting!
All of her patterns are lovely! It was tough to decide but I choose……..Vamp! It is so sweet, lovely, and gorgeous!! I just love it! My reasons are: the yarn (looks like mohair)…it is so soft and sweet….I just want to put it against my face : D ; it is beautifully designed…how it swirls around the neck…so elegant; I love the little bow on the front…so darling; I also love the two colour mixtures on the scarf….I heart purple (my favourite colour) and the grey mixture. It is just WONDERFUL : D!!
Thank you for this opportunity for the chance to win her book! It has been on my wishlist since it came out.
I’d choose Evergreen having lived my adulthood amongst the tall trees. She who encases my bedroom window is dying. I’d make the leaves as walnut, for she.
Evergreen is so sweet. I would wear that for a walk in the woods in the spring.
Well, I haven’t quite mastered the Intarsia thing yet but,
I LOVE the Ceilidh shawl! The colorways are just perfect!
I’d make a gift of this one. Lovely.
What a dreamy book and fabulous giveaway. I would love to get my hands around Kardamili because the colours grab me on this first day of spring and I love any kind of flower ornamentation in textile art.
Thank you!
They’re so pretty, it’s hard to choose a favorite, but “fizz” is definitely my fave. Such a sweet vintage style. I’m crossing my fingers that I win the book. 🙂
PS — what gorgeous photography! Really shows off the shawlettes!
I love vamp. It is so feminine (as are all the shawls), but it is definitely my favorite. I like the layering effect.
I like ceilidh.
I love “Evergreen”. It would be great in linen for the hot Texas climate.
I have to say that ceilidh is my first favourite, though I do really like harlequin and kitty. So many lovely designs!
The plaid one! The plaid one! The plaid one!
A little too much caffeine this morning. So calmly, but with feeling” the plaid one: Ceilidh. But also Penumbra. LOTS of great little shawls 🙂
Ooh, my favorite is kitty. The colors give it a beautiful Victorian-vintage feel! Thanks for the giveaway!
Yay! Congrats Stephanie! How exciting for you!! So many of them are just too, too cute! I love the Mantilla and Grace and Polperro and Fizz and and and …. I just ❤ 's them all!!
I really like Bronte, Fizz Capelet, and Penumbra.
I love Madame Alfred! A nice little bit of colourwork but I could also see the main part being knit up in a cosy alpaca blend 🙂
omg just pick one fav?? how about three…frost (love the wintry look), twine, and ceilidh! Just as I was reading the bit about you casting on the plaid piece, its image turned up on the scroller and I was like ” D: ..so gorgey!!”
I need a little “Grace” in my life.
awesome book! I too had a hard time picking one, so the first one I would like to do is the Madame Alfred shawlette. Thank you so much for giving away a copy!
I would say… Evergreen! I adore those cute dangling leaves! But really, all the of the shawlettes pictured look amazing! Definitely saving the Amazon link~
I would knit Mantilla for my mom. This one is beautiful and my mom would love it.
All of you yarnie beauties look wonderful in all of these. Since i’m an old knitting and crocheting granny, I need one of these lovelies to cover up all my (just hate them) neck wrinkles. I love the whole idea of the leaves and the wrap on EVERGREEN. I really need this and all of my enormouse as well as my tiny we lines and wrinkles are squeeling loudly as if they were baby piglets, saying “cover us , of please danglir
I like Mantilla! How gorgeous!
My top choice is ceilidh because I am also an avid fan of anything plaid! I also like the colors – they’re versitile – appropriate for either spring or fall, which would be perfect seasons for this garment. I like that it is not a cowl or a shall, but a mix of both. Finally, to knit in such a way as to render a garment that looks like woven plaid as this one does is pretty impressive!
Miss Kitty is delightful. I’d love to knit this as it is almost the same as my kitty number 1 – Marlene. We could wrap up and cuddle. Kitty number 2 – Boycie – might get fed up though so I would have to knit two!
I love the frost cowl!
Enigma. I’d love to make the layers in my favorite color contrasts, and would feel all flow-y wearing it… 🙂
I love Evergreen because….well, because I have a soft spot for knitted leaves and because it is a crossing between a scarf, a necklace and a shawlette.
Hallo! I love Miss Garricks! I like those colours together! And the shape is original but simple at the same time!
I really like the penumbra. I’ve always liked basic bold stripes, and I like the sailor connotations I get from it.
I would love to make Purple Patch Shrug for my daughter. She loves vintage buttons and this would be the perfect item to display them on.
I fell in love with two! How piggish of me (giggle). The first love was ‘Madam Alfred’. I loved the vibrant colorways and the beautiful way that it draped on the model. The second love was “fizz”. It’s beautiful design really made me feel like I would be a Jane Austin heroine if I was wearing that!
Oh, the Kitty for sure! What a lovely book.
it would have to be the ceilidh but with a wee bitty change…. i would have to knit it in the colours of my family tartan the loud McLeod which is garish bright and wonderful. I got handfasted using a strip of this tartan in the glorious welsh countryside nearly two years ago, and ever since have been looking for a way to include it in my every day clothes. This i feel will be it ❤
There are so many beautiful ones, for me though Ceilidh stands out because it is so different and unusual from anything I have ever seen. Just stunning
It is so difficult to choose just one. However, I would love to cast on Polperro. I really love the cable and lace pattern! Next would be Ceilidh, it looks so soft and drapey, and the plaid is amazing.
Wow! ❤ ❤ Well, well, well.. if i had to choose one: Mantilla is absolutely gorgeous and romantic looking. She would definitely be my first shawl for spring. I would knit her with love <3, and then we'd strut to the farmer's market together on a chilly summer morning – of course commenting on the lovely fruit, vegetables, and cheeses for sale.
miss garricks and evergreen are my favourites!
I’ve had my eye on two
Penumbra = love the contrast, my style
kardamill = minus those pom-poms that are not my style
hugs
Gerry
Oh I totally love the plaid one too! I am a wee bit afraid of intarsia, but I think it would be worth it for that one, love the colors, love the lushness of it, so squishy in lima, and cozy! Love it!
I would have to knit bronte first. But it is a beautiful collection of shawls.
Had a hard time choosing but also like the ceilidh and also the harlequin. All are nice, would love to win! Thanks.
I would cast on the “polperro”, as my first project. I love the style of it and think it would be great paired with a cotton floral sundress. Beautiful!
I would have to say miss garricks. The pattern looks so beautiful! I really like the drawstring on it. It woud be something I would wear, totally!
Oooh, I love them all but since I’m into guys in kilts, I would choose ceilidh. ♥
I’d cast on Purple Patch because it would be great to wear from work to shopping to the PTA meeting. Perfect for any setting and Purple, too!
I love the Bronte design, it has a real romantic feel about it.
miss kitty….made me smile….. dressed and waiting for the king of the Jungle 🙂
I would love to cast on for Madame Alfred. I love how casual it is.
Woolyknitsnbits(at)live(dot) ca
I would love to cast on the ceilidh. It would be perfect for picking blackberries in, and perhaps sitting in a moonlit clearing and having a midnight picnic of berry pie.
I love the honeycomb blanket! I ordered the pattern and took it with me on spring break…fun…satisfying!
I adore the limey green and blue ENIGMA! It is geometrically edgy, yet classy. The wispy and transparently sheer fiber drapes one color over the other to create shadings of a blended “new” color…YUMMY!
I love Evergreen! Leaves get me every time and I also like it because it is different!
Thank you for the lovely giveaway opportunity!
carol
i like VAMP the best, in part because it’s got a good name 😉
I’d go with Harlequin because I love anything patchwork looking and it looks so cozy and the colors used are wonderful.
The one you’re going to cast on is my fav! I love argyle/plaid patterning – plus the original design is knit out of Rowan Lima which is magically scrumptious. yum! 🙂
Harlequin! It looks like it would be cozy and colourful fun for a picnic outing.
Evergreen et Harlequin ! Impossible de choisir … Je tente ma chance aussi !
J’adore ton site et surtout l’ambiance magique qui s’en dégage …
Merci de nous offrir la chance de gagner un tel trésor !
Belle journée de printemps !
This book looks great! I think I would like to make the kardamili first. Thank you for a chance to win a copy 🙂
I like Enigma. The colors and style really made an impact as I scrolled the images.
Oh my, I had a hard time picking a favourite, and then narrowed it down to two – Miss Garricks and Madame Alfred. How do I choose?! I think Miss Garricks is gonna win this one. I love that it’s filed under “folk”. I love the bright colours and that it cinches with the drawstring! It’s so pretty. They’re all pretty, but I’m definitely a hippie type and adore most of the shawls under Country and Folk haha.
Kitty, definately. I can never resist a bit of animal print!
The tartan one is my favorite as well! My boyfriend is very proud of his Scottish heritage and would just adore me if I wore that! Not that he doesn’t already. 😉
It was so hard to pick one. Of them all, Frost is the one that would get the most wear.
ceilidh for sure… because plaid is my favorite color and since the first time I saw this pattern I have wanted to make it 🙂
I very much love the evergreen one as I love all things nature and green. I have been crocheting a lot of leaves myself this week. I have to say though I also love your woodland hoodlet. Funny thing as I have not popped by here for a while. I guess because you were absent and last night my daughter sends me a link to the woodland shawl. A hint I think that she wants it. LOL
My favourite is Mantilla, though Bronte is a close second! I love doing knitted lace!
Ciao, devo dire che il tuo blog mi piace moltissimo, complimenti!
Spero di poter partecipare al tuo giveway, i modelli mi piacciono tutti, nessuno escluso.
Un abbraccio.
Marina
Oh my! It certainly is hard to choose just one. My heart is drawn towards “kardamili”. Something about the little dangles from the trim. I love it! Thank you for the opportunity to win.
HOOT!!!!! I love the vamp shawl, so swirly and reminiscent of smoke from a fireplace – the sort you toast marshmallows on as the smoke curls and plucks at the memories of winters gone by…….. It’s finally cold enough here in my little country town in Australia, cold enough for a wood fire, warm enough curled up with knitting needles and a good project, kitty by my side, handknitted socks on and a hot chocolate…. alas the warmth of the vamp’s appeal has got me 🙂
Ceilidh! It’s beautiful! I love the colors and I love clean lines. Penumbra or Kitty would be my second picks. 🙂
They are all so beautiful, it’s hard to choose just one! I think Evergreen is just lovely though and reminds me of spring.
Green at Heart grabbed me right away! I am not sure why except I love the sleekness and the buttons or maybe it is the assymetrical design.
It would be Harlequin for me! I love the colours and the different knit directions in it, and the stylish simplicity.
Polperro! OMG elegant and beautiful!
I love Kitty! Meow! It was hard to pick just one… (I was just looking at this book on Amazon before I got to your post)
i’m pretty sure i’m in love with KITTY. 🙂 they are all beautiful, though!
I would do Evergreen first and then about 3 or 4 more!
Oh my stars! Even though they are all beauties it has to be Madame Alfred for me. The colors are just lovely.
I like Harlequin the best… actually have had my eye on it for a while… as I favorited it on Ravelry soon after it was posted. I like the geometrical modern shape, and juxtaposition of vibrant colors. It is unique!
All of her designs are very nice! I really like the “Fizz” and “Twine” designs though. Her creations are very knittable for all levels. :). Still love Tiny Owl Knits tons! Welcome back to the states!
My favorite is Mantilla. I’m currently in love with lace and that design looks fab. I also like Penumbra. Love the stripes. 😀
oh how lovely:-)all of them….but Kitty is my fav♥
It’s really hard to pick but my absolute favorite is harlequin! I love the colors and the entrelac.
They’re ALL gorjus! How can I choose just one? I love Penumbra for its colours and Mantilla because I’m a sucker for lace. That’s my shortlist so far.
my Mother used to say blue and green should never be seen but am i bovvered Enigma yes yes yes
Kitty is my favorite and I can’t wait to make it!!
I love Green at Heart (that’s what I am) in Sweet Shawlettes does not appear to be intimidating.
When I am braver…
Oh yes, it’s the tartan one (plaid) for me too, how gorgeous it is! What lovely patterns.
It’s Purple Patch for me. I can really see me in it. And I have so many purples in my stash. And…and..and. So many reasons. I love Bronte and Mantilla as well. But for many reasons Purple Patch would be perfect.
Ooh so many pretty and clever shawls!! Penumbra stood out the most for me I think- such a striking design! But hard to choose between them all 🙂
I luuuuuv the evergreen although I would do an everfall since they are my faave colors. Its so creative and lovely. Love this page and going to start the bekeepers just have to gater my thin yarn!!
Wow, they’re all gorgeous but I have to say…mantilla is my favourite or arabesque. They’re both so elegant and beautiful. Yay for knitting 😛
The Harlequin reminds me of an old, warm quilt in a cozy cabin in the mountains, I’d love to have that wrapped around me all year long; great book!
I do love Ceilidh. 🙂
Kitty, most definitely, kitty, well maybe mantilla and it’s beautiful ethereal lacy quality, no I am sticking with kitty – I LOVE KITTY!
While I actually like several of the designs, my favorite is Miss Garricks, as it is not only colorful but a style I would enjoy wearing to the office. It is always chilly in there and warm, pretty knits are more than welcome; they are a necessity. Cheers!
The first thing I’d knit is Bronte – I’m obsessed with things Bronte, and I love lace designs!
Windy, flowy with subtle hues of blue and green, perfect for an afternoon walk in the woods… Mysterious like enigma…
Green at Heart
Vamp
Fizz
Love them all!
How to choose from so many pretties! Love the Ceilidh, but I’m thinking Mantilla would make a lovely ‘going out’ wrap. (My little baby daughter has just learnt to cross her fingers, I’ll ask her to cross them and hope I win the book!!)
I would knit Bronte first, I love the lovely lace and the romantic feminine feel it has.
I really like harlequin. I haven’t done entrelac yet, but that pattern makes me want to try! I like the big squares. What a great book!!
Think I have to agree with you on Ceilidh, but then I’m a homesick Scot living in Calgary, Canada!
I also love Ceilidh, here in Australia our winter’s are chilly, but I would love the softness of Vamp. To knit this piece would be a wonderful way to VAMP up this winter.
Oh my goodness, is there a single design there NOT to like?! I’m thinking I’ll have to buy the book, regardless, and although BESS comes a close second (because I vaguley resemble Good Queen B. albeit with a fringe instead of a shaven forehead), I’m going with KITTY because its vintage style just clutches at my heart – and because it’ll look fab om my cat-lovin’ Kitten, and she’s the one I’ll be knitting it for.
I love ceilidh! Just enough vintage, just enough style. Would be perfect for autumn weather!
I too love the ceildah best. I think it has just the right touch of gamine to it. I imagine it with a japanese inspired shift, longish socks, doc martins, and a tousled hair do. 🙂 of course I’d have to be many years younger to pull all that off, but still, I do have my imagination.
i fell for penumbra ❤ harlequin also had my attention, they were all lovely ❤ !
They are all so lovely that it is very difficult to choose, so I actually have two favorites: ceilidh and kitty. Hope I’m the lucky one!
Would choose Frost as my favorite. Scandinavian design + shawlette = happiness
I love polperro, and I love the buttons and embellishments used with these designs
Someone invented fairy goddess wear! I would love to adorn myself with Garland and Evergreen while knitting a Drift and Twine then dancing in Empty Circles! Then prance around with Grace whilst me and Kitty >^..^< look for Treasure with Miss Garricks! Oh the fun to be had ❤ ❤ !
“Empty Circle”, because sometimes you just need to have the balls.
I have the yarn for the over the shoulders Irish/Scottish shawl, now I need the pattern directions. Love the look , and site looks luscious.
I like the pattern Miss Garrick the most. it is fairisle, colourful and folksy, which is just up my alley. It can also be used for numerous other projects (I am always on the lookout for good fairisle patterns) and made into all sorts of useful things. Definitely my number one 🙂
